Takedown Notice
This code of practice addresses the problem posed by increasing quantities of copyright-infringing material appearing on the Internet by setting out simple and clear procedures which rights holders and intermediaries can follow when they discover such material.
When a rights holder becomes aware of copyright infringing material on the Internet and knows the identity of the content provider responsible they may contact the content provider directly demanding that the material be removed forthwith.
If for any reason this is not possible or desirable, or if such direct action does not produce the required result, the following Notice and Takedown procedures can be followed.
