So the history of flight, both civil and military, from early experiments, the aircraft, the personalities and events through to the latest fighters and airlines are covered. Over 100 years of warfare are illustrated starting with the American Civil War and including extensive coverage of World War II and Vietnam; images of weapons, training and conflict, on land, sea and in the air are offered.
