The Bridgeman Art Library bring the historical collections of the National Football Museum to a wider audience.

The Bridgeman Art Library has announced its latest collection: The National Football Museum.
This fine collection of football artefacts and archives includes the official FIFA Collection, and provides a unique insight into the development of football in Europe.
The rich variety of paintings, prints and memorabilia brings together rare World Cup posters dating from the 1930s, ‘Boys’ Own’ advertisements and a set of ‘humorous’ postcards from the 1890s, reflecting early attitudes towards women footballers.
We are thrilled to represent and license images from this specialist museum and anticipate that they will be used for a wide variety of purposes as football has such an enormous cultural reach.
Many of the images in the football collection are in high resolution so quick and easy to download and license, whatever the commercial requirement.
Kevin Moore, Museum Director, National Football Museum said: “We are very excited about the partnership with Bridgeman. It's an important step for the museum in bringing these images to a much wider audience than we've previously been able to.”
“Historically, football is one of our great institutions and it has played a key role in shaping and cementing senses of national identity throughout the world,” said Harriet Bridgeman, Founder of the Bridgeman Art Library. “We are thrilled to represent and license images from this specialist museum and anticipate that they will be used for a wide variety of purposes as football has such an enormous cultural reach.”
